Sometimes the karma gods put you in the right place at the right time.   While at TCEA this year, I wound up a social event where Carl Hooker introduced me to some of his friends from Science 4 Us.   When I heard that they focused in on early elementary, I got pretty excited.   But the more I heard from them, the more of a fan I was.   Fast forward a few weeks, and we decided to team up to host a webinar series focusing specifically on teaching science in early elementary classrooms!

I have to be honest, this is the most excited I’ve been for a webinar in quite a while.   This will be a series of 10 half hour episodes, all focusing in on tackling the challenges that all early elementary educators face.   I know how esoteric science standards, in particular NGSS, can seem.   But in my experience, educators are already addressing many of them… but they might not even realize it!

In this first webinar, we’re going to talk about science instruction for early learners, getting back to the basics and looking at how to take one specific standard and address it through a variety of ways.   Online or offline, individually or in groups, there are so many ways to make science come alive for your students.  We’ll take a look at a variety of approaches that nail the standards that not only hit the standards, but will energize your classroom!

The webinar will be on Wednesday at 8pm ET.   It’s 100% free and open to anyone.   Even if you can’t make it, sign up anyway and you’ll get a link to download the archive!

Hope to see you there!
