Qik vs. uStream mobile
Will be doing a series of tests comparing the recently released uStream mobile app and Qik on the Nokia N85 that I’m borrowing from WOM world. Embedded players are edited below. When I’m broadcasting, the windows below will be live. Otherwise, they’ll have the most recent videos from each respective service. Let me know what you think!
Qik:
uStream:
Free TV : Ustream
- Try a new phone on for size.
- CDWG presents: Dembo and Davidson on Web 2.0
- What’s next for NECC?
- EdStreamTV is going live!
- Off to Nokia’s Open Lab

ustream Embed doesn’t work. Looks like Qik wins
I’m really impressed with the quality of video of the Qik one though.

Aiden definitely wins! He’s so cute!!!!
Will you be doing a live broadcast anytime soon? I’d love to see if uStream Embed works then. As bigdogg noted, it’s not working now. Just says you’re off line.

I am glad to see you are comparing the two. I am very interesting in knowing which service is best for streaming presentations and workshops for non-attending folks to watch.

I love that you can use Qik over a cell (although it does not work with my own cell phone)….but when I try to tune in Live, the video is very choppy and I often just turn it off because I get annoyed. Hopefully this will change as the connection between live mobile and web improves.
