<description>Did this. Looks heaps better. Used regagger and placed by blogroll on another whole page, rather than in the side bar. Looks great!

<description>I have a hard time knowing what should be at the top where everyone will see it. There are so many important pieces and they all seem like they need to be seen. I tend to put the stuff that is unique to me and my blog up top and the more utilitarian stuff farther down.

On blogger there is a search blog button up top. Doesn&#039;t really look like part of the blog. But I couldn&#039;t find another similar gadget.

<description>For once I don&#039;t believe it was me that recommened Retaggr :( . Never seen the site before but would like to see an example of where someone has used it.

I have different widgets on my two different blogs. On The Edublogger some of the widgets aren&#039;t necessarily ones I wold normally have but are what I&#039;m using to show the popular widgets. However I do have a really simple Twitter widget with just my photo and my latest tweet. I did remove it for awhile until one of my readers told me that was how they joined twitter. So I decided to add it back and hope I don&#039;t tweet anything too bad in case a young student reads it.

Don&#039;t include any information on how to contact me on The Edublogger because it is too easy for people to assume that I&#039;m their support person instead of using the forum.

On my personal blog I use MyBlogLog because I can customise the colour to match my theme. And my contact information is on my About page.

In terms of your blog I would change your Archive to a drop down menu. Taking up valuable real estate when not necessary.

Widget order on your blog should ideally be Search, then Subscribe RSS, then Subscribe Email, followed by Categories then tags. Everything else should be lower priority and go below. Or be removed

<description>What do you think about a Technorati Widget (add this blog to your Technorati favorites)? I added one several months ago when I was trying to get my Technorati rating up - should I trash it?

<description>Two big switches I have made in the past couple of months were to kill my Twitter widget. I have only used this blog since April and in testing out the functionality of tons of widgets, my sidebar became dead &amp; bloated (to tag an STP song).

I killed that and a Delicious tag cloud, but finally decided upon the tag cloud I currently have, which simply uses the tage directly from the blog only.

To me, this is honestly one of the main way I re-locate an old post of my own. My brain is now fully re-wired to think along those lines of data retrieval. Therefore, I can most easily nail a unique tag that will help me find an article. Perhaps that will be tougher in a year.

My only frustration with that is the fact that I can&#039;t exactly figure out how this one works. I love the ease of use at Edublogs, but few people seem to know about fixes at that level of the game. I have tags that I would really like to see in that cloud that just are not there. What is odd is that several of the tags int he cloud have only been used once.

I have tried to troubleshoot the problem three or four ways to no avail. Any suggestions from the Dembosphere?

I need to get my butt in gear on the translate widget. That is just too good of a tip to put off any longer.

Trust me- I am all about receiving some feedback on what works/what is awkward, etc. Anyone- please feel free to critique my world if you decide to poke a around for a few seconds!

Sean

I love the ease of use at Edublogs, but few people seem to know about fixes at that level of the game. I have tags that I would really like to see in that cloud that just are not there. What is odd is that several of the tags int he cloud have only been used once. </p>
<p>I have tried to troubleshoot the problem three or four ways to no avail. Any suggestions from the Dembosphere?</p>
<p>I need to get my butt in gear on the translate widget. That is just too good of a tip to put off any longer.</p>
<p>Trust me- I am all about receiving some feedback on what works/what is awkward, etc. Anyone- please feel free to critique my world if you decide to poke a around for a few seconds!</p>
