Heh, right now I'm playing Wii Boxing, and I can say that I lose 4 kg in 1 month of playing. It's great.

Hello, I have been using the wii fit program for 25 days now, I am slowly losing weight but I am losing the inches off my waist, arms, thighs, and hips I am down one full size. I love working out everyday and it is a fun way. My husband also does the wii fit program and togehter we do wii sports and that also adds to workouts and fun for the both of us. I haven't been able to knock down 99 pins yet in bowling but I am not giving up. Good luck to everyone and have fun.

Steve, I wonder if you have any thoughts about how this Wii Fit could be combined with in-class work? You've seen the new brain research book talked about here and there in this sphere about how sedentary offices and classrooms are the worst learning habitats.

It makes me want to explore something like "LearnerCize" - and I have a copyright on that term ;-)

Seriously, I'd love to read your thoughts about how Wii could be combined with, for example, and interactive whiteboard to make learning and fitness synchronous, instead of the schooly asynchronized version.

I just got my Wii Fit last night and I've already put 40 minutes into. I agree that the balance games don't really feel like they are doing anything, but many of the strength training exercises certainly did! If you are interested in other technology to help you get fit, you might want to check out http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/ or http://caloriecount.about.com/. Both sites are free and allow you track what you eat and how much you exercise.

My mother and younger brother get to play Wii when I drive to Philly to visit. They saw commercials for Wii Fit and now they're on the hunt for a Wii and Wii Fit of their own.
I'm on Day 2 with Wii Fit, and I like that in 20-30 minutes (time in the bank, not total time), I can feel exhausted and "worked out".
Good luck!!

Steve,
Good for you...and good luck. I started spending as much time on my treadmill as I do on my laptop a few months ago. My laptop time has decreased drastically- LOL. Keep us posted on the progress:)

After bowling with a Wii at Christmas and then racing cows with a cousin in March, out daughter wants a Wii. My husband has scoffed for some time - then the Wii Fit comes out and now even he is interested in a Wii. We both bike, but I can only get so motivated to ride 20 or 30 miles when it is below even 50 degress. I'd rather ride with someone, but then who stays with the 8 year old? She is only so tolerant of long rides with us, and she can't ride our speed. Gym? Yeah, 15 or 25 miles away, take your pick. Ride to work? Sure with a laptop, lunch, clothes. I tried do a workout with one of those big ball thingies, but felt kind of silly rolling around on a giant ball. Maybe, like you said, the characters and the "fun feel" of the Wii fit is the answer. Wish I knew someone who would let me borrow one for a few weeks. Maybe Santa will drop one off in our house (along with a Wii Fit for me, Hannah Montana for the daughter)
