		<description>Well this just goes to show that statistics do not always show the whole picture.  My district has found great success with Reading First (we may not have been following the script to the letter).  We have seen vast improvements in our elementary reading scores.  In fact of our 6 elementary school, 4 of which were labeled as failing have all made AYP thanks in great part to Reading First.  So say what you want, but Reading First was not a total waste and in fact for us was a huge success.
