Monday Morning Video: Encyclopedia of Life

If you haven’t heard about the Encyclopedia of Life project, it’s time to learn more about it. It’s sort of like what you might get if Wikipedia were being overseen by the folks at Britannica. They’re going to try to catalogue every species on earth, a daunting task to say the least. However, they intend to supplement the work of scientists and experts with the work of the community. The public will be able to contribute content, images, and video, and while it will likely be moderated by an expert, it does make the project much more sustainable in the long run.

Looks promising to me, but see for yourself!

  • Looks really promising!!

Much better way of presenting facts and information through great images, mind maps, flow charts and much more.

Kids will surely have fun making their small school projects. :)

  • Encyclopedia of Life is something new to us that is why we not not yet really familiar with it. However, with this information that you have gathered and shared, we were able to understand its importance and function. Facts are very difficult to predict and some times you will be doing the research by yourself just to figure out what is the truth behind it.
