Think before you click

So long as I’m on a movie kick, got another to share with you.

Love this video I found through Miguel:

It’s an issue that I talk about during my permanent record presentation. It’s not that students shouldn’t post photos online. I do it, my friends do it, millions of people do it every day. However, at least a small degree of discretion has be applied when doing so. I’ve always been relatively careful about what images of myself I put online. But most teenagers don’t quite have the experiences or judgment that adults have acquired. It’s not that they have bad intentions, they just don’t quite realize the negative possibilities.

SO. Think about your school. In what grade level are they going through students photo albums and sorting through which photos would be appropriate for posting online publicly and which ones wouldn’t?

  • This is something that many people should think about even when posting pictures of anyone else anywhere as well.
