Weekend Blogging at TechLearning

Well, it’s official. I have now joined the blogging crew at TechLearning. Since all the weekdays were taken, and then taken again, I get the prestigious Sunday slot all to myself! Guess I need to update my Open Book list.

To be honest, I’m really thrilled to be a part of it. They’ve really assembled an All Star crew of bloggers over there, and I’m pretty flattered just to be on the list. [Updated]

  • Monday: David Warlick and Miguel Guhlin
  • Tuesday: Terry Freedman and Cheryl Oakes
  • Wednesday: Scott McLeod and Steve Dembo
  • Thursday: David Jakes and Jeff Utecht
  • Friday: Wesley Fryer and Vicki Davis
  • Saturday: Existential Paine
  • Sunday: Tim Lauer

Ed Tech Insider may have been the first to assemble a ‘stable’ of bloggers, but the lack of organization really seems to have killed it off. Eight of the last ten posts were by Tom Hoffman, and there are posts dating back to November on the front page still. In contrast, I’ve always admired the way TechLearning has at least one new post every single day, and the people who have signed on stick to the schedule. Everyone brings a different flavor to the feed, but the entire thing revolves around education and technology.

So if you’d like to read my first post over there, here’s a link to it. It’s a nostalgic little commentary about the way things were, the way things can be, and the only thing standing in the way is our own restrictions.

  • Now you’ve gone and done it, Steve. Yet another blog I have to add to my Bloglines account :P

And here I was trying to keep my subscriptions relatively manageable and stay away from the group blog “post because you have to” efforts. With your addition to the publishing crew, I’ll have to rethink skipping out on the TechLearning blog.

  • Welcome to the “group” which really includes not only these bloggers but the many readers of these blogs who have joined in one place to read and comment which makes for a great community. Gwen Solomon the editor over at Tech Learning online is incredible and urges us on to be great. It is a very enjoyable place and I love reading the posts.

I look forward to reading yours. (Actually, I often read more on the weekend than during the week!)

I listened to your podcast on behavior on blogs — want to talk offline about a few things sometime. Welcome!
