And now a word from our sponsor

04

I just realized that I haven’t had a link to my hosting company, Bluehost, in my sidebar for quite a long time. While they aren’t really a sponsor, they do have an affiliate program that gives me a kickback if people signup for it through my link. There are quite a few other places that offer affiliate programs that I don’t advertise on the site, but I just put up an ad for Bluehost again because unlike most other companies, I’m a HUGE fan of their services. When they first started up their blog, they asked people to send them testamonials. This is what I sent in:

I host my blog and podcast, Teach42.com, on Bluehost. I have found it to be incredibly easy to work with and yet so powerful that I’m still amazed that so many features can be offered for as little as 7 dollars a month. I have reccomended Bluehost to countless teachers based on my own experiences, and have never regreted doing so. Teachers need to be careful about the money they spend and getting value for their dollars is always top priority. I’ve had numerous people write me and thank me for turning them on to Bluehost.com.

Personally, I love the number of features and options that you offer with every account. I have four different choices for stats, multiple web based email systems, a slew of services that I can try out with a single click through Fantastico, and tons of features that I haven’t even had time to explore!

Things don’t always work perfectly. My site has gone done a handful of times over the last couple years. However, what stops me from being upset by this is the fact that when I talk to support, I always get through to a person quickly and the first person I’ve spoken to has always been able to resolve my problem. In an era where customer support is often the weakest area of most companies, I have found Bluehost’s support to be exemplary.

I am clearly more than just a customer, I am an evangelist for Bluehost. When people ask me about hosting, I am genuinely excited to be able to share my experiences with Bluehost.

I think I’ve written enough. I tend to go on about things I’m passionate about. And I’ve found that Bluehost has exceeded my expectations in every category, from features to value to support.

So if you’ve been thinking about getting about getting a host for your blog or podcast, or heck even your entire school, I don’t think you can go wrong with them. And if you’re going to be signing on with them, do it through my link!
