IMified: Getting more out of your IM
I first read about this via a blog post from Alan Levine at http://www.cogdogblog.com . It’s a little IM bot called IMified, that basically allows you to interact with various ‘web 2.0′ sites through chat. This blog post, for example, is being submitted through my chat client. Pretty slick. However, I do believe that my chat client has a cap on the number of characters I can type in one message. Hope I don’t hit that!
Update from the browserWell, I didn’t hit the cap, but paranoia about hitting it might prevent me from using it much. However, it’s pretty neat that you can add blog posts, update your 2.0 todo lists, create reminds and view/edit your Google Calendar all via IM. I can totally respect that. And the interface itself made me a little misty. Reminded me of Zork! SO of course I checked to see if anybody had created a Zork via IM game, and lo and behold, someone has! Or maybe I should say had. Doesn’t seem to work. Too bad.

Think of the educational implications! Test-taking better change quickly!! Just like that game show where you get to call a friend for help…and that’s my final answer (for this 1/2 hour anyway).
