Aiden Lefty Dembo
About 15 hours ago, Aiden Lefty Dembo was born! Official time was 8:49 on January 9th, 2007. Despite staying tight for 36 hours of labor and focing a C-Section, he was only 7 pounds! He’s 19″ inches in length, but I think 2 of those inches were because he had a little bit of a conehead.
Mommy and Baby are both doing great. Happy, healthy, and obviously more than a little sleepy. The way things are scheduled right now, we’ll be in the hospital until Friday, and then we’ll take him home and introduce him to his much furrier older brother, Solo.
Here’s a photo and a video of the little guy. If you click on the photo, you’ll be taken to a gallery of images from his first couple of hours (thanks Dad for uploading those!). Got a bunch more video, but I want to get back to the hospital to take care of the wife, so here’s just a little teaser!
If you can’t see the video via YouTube, here’s a direct link to it.

Nice camera work. Steve, you’re a brave chap. Your wife must really love you, because I know my wife would have filed for divorce if I would have posted the videos of her in the hospital. Guess this is Parenthood 2.0 meets Web 2.0…just kidding…way to go guy! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Ah, where’s the virtual cigars? Jan. 9th, birth of a true Geek: born on the same day as the iPhone…

Congratulations to you and your wife. He is a looker. I assume he takes after his mother
. I’ll have to get him a Detroit Tiger hat before you corrupt him with Cubs’ gear.
Best wishes.

CONGRATS Steve!!! I had to chuckle when you asked Aiden to be that quiet for the next 6 months–you could get lucky though and get a quiet crier;-)
Best wishes

So, I decided to check in on your contributions post-baby and find that your skills as a live action cameraperson are terrific! But not many words here. Could that be a result of sleep deprivation? In any case, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Best to Jess and Solo as well. mem
