A co-worker in the office shared this site with me today. Check it out particularly if you’re thinking about buying a Nintendo Wii for yourself or that special someone this holiday season! Pretty scary stuff. Maybe making a controller that you swing around wasn’t such a good idea after all.
Naw. It was a good idea, one that will lead to further developments in capturing motion in gaming. However, it’ll take a little while for people to develop both the equipment and the skills to not take themselves or their expensive electronic devices, or their family members, out along the way.
Are you kidding?! The implications for health and PE classes alone (think DanceDance Revolution here) are mindboggling. Schools without tennis courts could have kids playing tennis, and imagine what this could do for fine motor control impaired students. Simply wave the controller toward the correct answer or writing tools on the screen.
Alright, so maybe that’s a bit far-fetched, but I can’t wait until Lucasarts puts out the first Star Wars lightsaber-based video game. You know that think will be selling out. ![]()

The whole world, including cats and dogs, now know that original strap is not very strong and swinging arms could be a problem. why are these “accidents” still happening?
I have always considered nintendo to be makers of kiddie game console and never got one. But after visiting the wii have a problem website and checking the vids out, all I see are grown ups having fun and (lots of them) faking accidents and injuries. I now want one too.
