Buy Apple, think green
I love the fact that Apple now provides free recycling for anybody that purchases a Mac. While this won’t work for schools (no institutions), you can definitely encourage teachers who make personal purchases to properly recycle their old hardware. I know people tend ot hang on to their desktops forever, but at the very least they should recycle the monitor. Those things tend ot just sit around for no good reason and many people wind up just throwing them in the garbage, which is horrible for the environment.
Apple is making it easy for anybody who buys a new mac to recycle their old system for free. They’ll even provide the shipping label. All you have to do is box it up and let FedEx take it away.
While it may not be a significant reason to buy a Mac over a PC, you gotta give Apple credit for doing its part.
