60 sites in 60 minutes
Love this idea from the Shifted Librarian. It’s exactly what it sounds like, a sixty minute presentation that covers 60 sites that people might not have heard of but should probably be exposed to. I went through the list of sites that she used for her presentation, and there were plenty that were new to me. Lots to explore there. Sort of like going through del.icio.us/popular, but it’s tailored to librarians/educators. Worth exploring when you have a few minutes.

So glad I found your post, this is an excellent concept and will do wonders for a presentation I have to give – Thanks

Yeah, I am a keen fan of Google Calender. I use it with colleagues and also members of the public as a way of communicating what is happening. 30 boxes is nearly as good but GCal just fits in with so much other stuff.

This is a great resource. I’m doing a website for a private school right now, I’m going to go ahead and forward this to their librarian. Thanks for posting!

The librarian resources are definitely impressive. I get tired thinking about going through all the sites, but they are indeed a great resource for anyone who does research regularly.

Thanks for pointing this out. I love these kinds of presentations. There are always a bunch of great tools that I’ve either never heard of, or didn’t really see a use for until someone points it out.
The only problems with them is I end up spending a bunch of time “playing” with them
