EdTech Connect Webinar Series| DiscoverySchool.com Have you seen Alan November present before? If so, then you know just how inspirational a speaker he can be. If you haven’t, here’s your chance!
Discovery Education has been doing a series of totally free webinars, open to the public. The first two were presented by Hall Davidson, the education king of all media, and the gadget queen herself, Kathy Schrock.
On Wednesday, it’s going to be Alan November’s turn, one of my personal favorites. If you’ve been a long time reader of this blog, you know I’m a huge fan of the conference he puts on every summer, Building Learning Communities. Well, he’s presenting a free webinar tomorrow with the same title.
We now have tools to build and strengthen our learning communities. We have the opportunity to provide our students with authentic assessment relationships over the web that can help dramatically improve student motivation. We can take advantage of the communication tools the Internet provides, such as blogs, Instant Messenger, video conference or email. Research suggests many students are more willing to ask for help and accept criticism when they are online.
My two favorite things about the EdTechConnect series? They’re totally free to the general public and they’re archived. So if you do happen to miss it, you can always visit the site later and watch it! Or, if you really get inspired and want to share it with others, you can send them a link.
Space is incredibly limited. It’s open to the first 200 people that sign up, so if you’re interested, sign up soon.
