In a matter of fact, some of the company now before accepting the applicant they track the applicant name first on the internet. They search for more information about that person. Now resume is not that effective to the company owner and they need more proof that the person who applied is trustable. Through facebook, blogs or either the way you comment on a blog reflects on your behavior. So, that is where the company really matter than looking what you write in your resume. So it is better to be careful what you doing online.

Wow, you made some excellent points there. People need to be very careful about what they post on the internet!

Now this really made me think. I admit, I spend more time online so it really is very possible that people out there could really track down my trail in the web and then use whatever they find for or against me.
Fair Warning you wrote there!

I think you make an excellent point, students don't realise the impact what they say on their blogs or facebook could have when they are applying for jobs. However, I do think that it would be unfair to ask them to justify random comments, or facebook status's, as we all make mistakes, especially in our younger years. They would do well to vet some of the pictures they choose to show right enough, that could definitely be detrimental!
