		<description>The cross discussion yesterday was interesting. I think it is a good example of the definitional problems we get with technology (I'm currently having one with video over the network - but that is a story for another day). The 'Blog as Personal Journal' metaphor came up and this is where the idea of blogging everyday. This is useful especially in the language development with students. But that isn't the only metaphor for blogging. 

As with any technology, I think there are some 'purest' out there (PS - not anyone that posted yesterday) that abhore the idea of commercial blogs and news blogs. I don't think we have entirely internalized blogging into the web yet. To me it is a tool that allows individuals to easily create and update websites. That's the technology side.</description>
