A work of Flicktion

01

Want to see an incredibly creative use for Flickr? Check out the photos tagged with flicktion. Here’s the basic premise: Take a photo that you find interesting. Write a little bit of fiction in the comments field. Tag the photo with the word Flicktion. That’s it!

Some of the photos have a paragraph written, others just a sentence or two. Some just have a haiku attached to them. The idea is fascinating and is a great new spin on a classic lesson. Perhaps upload twenty photos and allow your students to choose a photo to comment on. Or choose a single photo that your entire class uses as a story starter.

It never ceases to amaze me just how creatively people are using these tags in Flickr.
