The "free" think is a big part of what is exciting about blogosphere developments.  I got an e-mail this morning from an educator in Michigan, tell me that for the first time, he left their state conference (MACUL) without technolust (new technologies to have to pay for).  The best stuff going on right now (blogging, wikis, RSS, Podcasting) are all free, or practically free.
