Every once in a while, I check the Technorati feed for people who have linked to my site or podcast (Ok, that’s a lie, I check it all the time). Somehow I missed this one though. Will caught wind of the EduPodcasting explosion that has been going on lately. He referred to me as “the inimitable, car clanging Steve Dembo”. For those of you that haven’t heard one of my infamous carcasts, he’s right. That rattle in my trunk is simply awful. However, I do have to admit that I had no idea what inimitable was so I wasn’t quite sure whether to be flattered or irritated.
I don’t use it too often this was the perfect opportunity to use my handy dandy Google: Definition bookmarklet. What do I get?

I wish Dennis Miller’s book had a Google: Definition bookmarklet built into it. These on-line tools are absolutely fantastic. I think every school browser should have a basic set of research bookmarklets preloaded into the tool bar.
Ah, but learning to find the tools is like learning to use the Readers’ Guide to Periodical Literature (do they still print those?). Not every browser is configured the same way. One shouldn’t be lost because of a missing toolbar. On the other hand, convenience is, well, convenient. On the gripping hand, one could put together one’s own page of links so it would be available everywhere. Sort of like this:
