Sightseeing, the Google way.
I don’t know about you, but since I discovered NASA World Wind and Google Maps Satellite view, I’ve been doing quite a bit of sightseeing. It really is quite addicting, zooming around the map looking for landmarks.
Someone has taken that concept and turned it into a blog! Google Sightseeing takes you on a tour of the country, through the eyes of Google Maps. I love the fact that you can click on the link and see the landmark in context. You can see what the land around it looks like and what size it really is in comparison to what’s around it.
Very cool and a lot of fun. I’m definitely subscribing to this one! Now, can anyone give me directions to the arch in St. Louis?
