They both had a dock. Google has a new ‘beta’ front page that has a dock-like system with nearly all the Google tools on it. Included are Web Search, Images, Groups, News, Froogle, Local, Scholar, Video, Maps, and Labs. I just love fact that I can type whatever I want into the search bar and then click on the tool that I want to actually use. So I can type in “American Flag” and then click on the Images icon to search Google Images, or type in “1060 W. Addison, Chicago, IL” and click on Maps to have Wrigley Field pulled up in Google Maps.
So I’ve got a new homepage for now. Oh yeah, I also like the quote at the bottom “Roses are red. Violets are blue. OS X rocks. Homage to you.”
Update: Unfortunately, Google took it down. Not sure why, but now I’m back to the regular ol’ Google search page as my home page. So if you missed it, here’s a screenshot for you to see what it looked like.

Google X Pulled, Archived
Since Google just pulled their new Google X product, I’m posting a screenshot at full resolution, as well as the archived code:
