Podcast: Creating community in the digital age
This is the second podcast from the enormous amount of material that I recorded at the ICE conference. The first session I attended that day was David Jake’s “Creating Community in the Digital Age”. A lot of it was review for me but I learned about a few new sites and also got some new perspective on some ‘old’ ideas (‘old’ as in a few months old). There are people who have great material but can’t present it well, and then there are fantastic presenters who have no real content. Dave happens to be a fantastic presenter who has some great ideas to share. He focuses on what community means in the 21st century and the tools which are being used to create online communities. I only play a few short clips in the podcast, but if you want to listen to the entire workshop the link is below.

Show notes:
My notes: These are the notes that I took during the actual workshop. No, they haven’t been edited yet.
JakesOnline: David Jakes’ main web page. Explore, there’s some nice information, including notes from his workshops. The digital storytelling resources page is definitely worth a visit.
The Strength of Weak Ties: David’s new blog. Not a lot there yet, but the entries he’s written already are interesting.
Podcast Alley: You know, that place where you can vote for the podcast
