As I was typing up the show notes for my last ‘cast, I realized that I hadn’t my comments queue for a few days. It’s basically my bear trap that I leave out there for spammers to play around with. Any comments that have more than 3 links in them or have certain keywords go directly to the queue. They do not get posted or collect $200. They sit there and wait for me to decide what to do. I get a few of those things here and there and every few days I just do a mass delete. Well, I just checked it a few minutes ago and guess what I found? 134 comments awaiting moderation! That’s right, my blog has been PLAGUED with spam comments and I had no idea at all! Nor do I care one bit. This plugin is absolutely amazing. Not one comment went up that I would have wanted queued, and not one real comment got blocked. Fantastic.
