Heh, I read today that WordPress 1.5 had been released. It was getting some great reviews, and people seemed to be extremely impressed with the improvements. So I thought to myself, I should seriously consider upgrading! I went off to the web site and start reading the details for myself. The weird thing was that I couldn’t find anything… well… new. I guess I didn’t realize it, but when I installed WordPress a month ago, I installed the beta! Essentially, it’s exactly the same thing, 1.5 is just ‘more stable’. I haven’t had any problems so I sort of figure if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I do have to say that WordPress is a vast improvement over pMachine. I’ve been extremely happy with it so far and have had not had any experiences that would make me want to switch to anything else. At some point, I need to play around some more with the templates and some of the plug ins. I get the feeling that there’s still some untapped potential there, but I’m in no hurry.
