Blahblahblah New Podcast blahblahblah

Do I really need to announce each podcast? Probably not I guess but there’s a very fine line between teach42.com and the teach42 podcast. And I’m not quite sure where to draw that line. Regardless, there’s a new podcast up. I tried to make the music a little quieter, and I think I made it about a hair louder than mute. I could hear it in my headphones, but when listening to it myself I could barely hear it at all. So if you can’t hear background music, don’t worry it’s not just you.

I do mention in the show that the number of downloads I’ve been getting have been making it impossible for me to use my own internet access at times. I just don’t have bandwidth to support it I guess. So I’m considering other hosting options for the mp3 files. One company did contact me about being affiliated with them. LibSyn is a hosting company that is specializing in podcasts. What does that mean? Basically you pay for how much storage space you need and then get unlimited bandwidth (which I’ve recently discovered is a limited resource for most of us!). They also provide you with a .php script that will automatically create an rss feed for your podcast whenever you upload something new. It’s very similar to what I currently do now. So I’m considering moving my podcast to their site. 5 bucks a month would get me 100mb, which is enough to hold about 6 of my podcasts I think, maybe more. Not too shabby.

Like I said before, they also sort of offered me a sponsorship deal. If you signup through any of the links to them from this site, then your first months rent gets deposited into my paypal account. So if you sign up for the 100mb per month hosting, then I get $5. Not bad at all. Since I haven’t tried out this service yet so I am not reccomending them. I won’t reccomend anything to you that I haven’t tried out myself. But what I am saying is if you check them out yourself and decide that it’s something you’re going to sign up for anyway, then sign up through one of my links and you’ll be supporting the show as well. It’d be a mitzvah (translation for all the gentiles in the audience, a mitzvah is basically a good deed).
