Kick back, take a nap, and let the research flow.

I’ve been reading quite a bit about how Will uses RSS and things like MSN search and Feedster to subscribe to ongoing searches for certain keywords. I haven’t done nearly enough of this, but one search that I did subscribe to was for a friend of mine. Nelson is really into Cryptozoology. I’d never even heard of it before he mentioned it to me one night, but I figured if he’s into it, someone else out there must be into it as well. So that night, I swung by Feedster and set up a search for Cryptozoology]/url]. I’ve been getting it in my bloglines account ever since. Most of what comes through is garbage, but there’s been a few decent articles. Today, I found [url=http://todayspodcast.com/archives/2005/01/a_podcast_about_1.html]a Podcast about Cryptozoology. Wow. Someone else is way into this obscure niche of science and did a podcast about it. There’s no way that I would EVER have come across this in my normal experiences. But since I set up this little search about a month ago, I had it brought to me. It makes me wonder what I’ve been missing by not having more searches set up. What a wonderful tool.
