Why blog?
I just spent the last 10 minutes searching the web for cheap MP3 players with voice recording. Why? So I could help Barbara Ganley figure out how her students could podcast during their blogging field trip. I’m not sure whether my information will help her out or not, but I hope I was able to lend a hand. By frequenting her blog, not only was I able to read about her fantastic idea of having a blogging/podcasting field trip, but because she discussed some of the frustrations she was experiencing I may have been able to help her out.
That’s the beautiful thing about blogs. You can post about your thoughts, your successes, your frustrations and your failures. Other people can learn from them, empathisize with you, or even pitch in and help you out. I don’tknow Barbara. I may never know her. But I’ve learned a great deal from her and her students. Blogs are such a fantastic way to communicate with peers, friends, and strangers. They bring people together. And it’s not just blogs either. Instant Messaging, Podcasting, RSS, Email and all the rest are doing the same.
I can’t even put into words just how much I’ve been learning from other people blogging. I hope that as this blog evolves and developes, that people may be able to say the same about me.
Hey friends, Thank you !
